What’s the difference between counseling, therapy and coaching?

While counseling and therapy are centered more around past recovery, the coaching process focuses heavily on future growth. Not only will you heal from past traumas, but you’ll be ready to tackle any emotional obstacle you face moving forward.  

What are my responsibilities as a client?

You must be willing and committed. You must be fully dedicated to the process and able to surrender to the guidance of your coach. This is not to say that you can’t ask questions. Of course I will be happy to answer any questions and make sure you’re comfortable with the entire process. The important thing is that  the desire for change must come from within you, not from anyone else. You’ll also have to make the time to be fully present and free from distractions during the sessions. 

What happens during coaching?

You’ll explore the origins of your problems, blockages, emotional barriers and learn about real life impact of mental conditioning on your own feelings and behavior.  You will participate in a series of workshops and activities specifically designed to facilitate the self-realization process. You’ll then learn how to access and maximize the tools and resources you possess in order to make significant changes in your life.  

When will I see results?

Once you have started learning how to utilize the correct tools, you will see results immediately. The best part is that results are self-sustainable so you will continue to see improvements long after your sessions.  

How do you know what’s best for me?

I don’t. As your coach, my role is not to advise you on how to deal with your problems. Instead it is to teach you a new way of thinking and empower you to confidently make the best possible decisions on your own. You will be able to facilitate positive changes to enhance your own life, regardless of your individual circumstance. My programs have been modeled based universal principles which can be adapted to best suit the needs of each client. You have the freedom to decide which areas in your life need more attention and utilize your tools accordingly.
